WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

The Janssens Farm, family-owned and operated, was founded in 1984. We are well known for our high quality fruits and vegetables grown at our farm which is located in Appin, Ontario which is 40 minutes from London, ON, 50 minutes from Sarnia, ON, 1 hour and 40 minutes from Windsor, ON and 2 hours and 15 minutes from Toronto, ON.

We currently grow over 45 different fruits and vegetables! In addition to growing all these vegetables, we attend several farmers markets during the summer months to market our crops. We are always looking for new ways to improve the quality of our fruits and vegetables, so in 2010, we constructed 1.3 acres of high tunnels. This has vastly improved the quality of our produce, lowered the use of pesticides, increased our yields, nutritional value of our crops and increased the flavor of the crops we grow! Quality and service is our motto. We not only try to meet, but we strive to exceed the expectations of our customers.

THE TEAM MEMBERS

DIANE JANSSENS

Diane Janssens has been involved in agriculture her entire life. Originally from a poultry operation, Diane married Raymond Janssens when they began growing fruit and vegetables back in 1980 turning their backyard into their very own farm. In 1984, Raymond and Diane moved to their current location in Appin, ON.

RAYMOND JANSSENS

Raymond Janssens moved here originally from Belgium where he settled in Kerwood, Ontario at the age of 16. In Kerwood, they began farming by growing vegetables and raising livestock. Raymond, too, has been involved in agriculture his entire life and has many years of experience growing fruits and vegetables.

DAVID JANSSENS

David Janssens has worked at the family farm his whole life. David graduated high school in 2010 and pursued his education in Agriculture at Ridgetown College. After getting his diploma, David went to Olds College in Alberta where he graduated and received his Bachelor of Applied Science degree.
