​Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs have been around for many years, however it is not until recently that they have became more popular.

A CSA is a program where the consumer buys a share in the farm and in turn they receive fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables from our farm for that season. A CSA works by a consumer purchasing a share at the beginning of the season and the funds we receive from that share are used to purchase seeds and other products that will be used for the upcoming growing season.

A full share will contain between 7 and 10 (even up to 15 depending on selection) different vegetables and is enough food for a family of 4 that eats a few meals a week with vegetables or a couple who are avid vegetable lovers.

A half share is 5 – 10 different vegetables and enough food for 2 people that eat a moderate amount of fruits and vegetables. Avid vegetable lovers a full share is recommended.

With a Community Supported Agriculture program the connection between consumer and producer is much more direct and the consumer shares the risks and benefits with the farmer.

Turkey and chicken shares that can also be purchased. These are available in limited quantities due to quota restrictions and must be picked up from our on farm location.

You will receive 18 weeks of freshly picked, seasonal fruits and vegetables that are grown in a sustainable environment.   The program runs from mid-June until Thanksgiving.

We have been in the business of growing quality fruits and vegetables for over 30 years and look forward to more years of providing our valued customers with quality produce in a new and unique way.

In addition to our fruit and vegetable shares you may also sign-up for our turkey and chicken shares. The chicken shares will be available at this time as well. A CSA member may chose multiple chicken shares. The turkeys and chickens will be picked up in one of your last pickups right before Thanksgiving. You may purchase up to two turkeys.

YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE WHEN TURKEYS AND CHICKENS WILL BE READY AND THESE MUST BE PICKED UP FROM THE FARM. THESE MUST BE PICKED UP FROM THE FARM BECAUSE OF HEALTH REGULATIONS.

Enclosed in your share we will provide you with what we have available. During your online sign-up there is an option to select the vegetables you do NOT want in your weekly share. We will use this list of vegetables to determine how often these particular vegetables will show up in the share boxes by pickup location. We encourage all members to accept everything we have to offer as we have found this encourages members to experiment with vegetables they have never tried before. In our first season we found that people who experimented with different fruits and vegetables were happy they did so.

With regards to pricing, a full share gets you access to the 18 week program which costs $35 a week or $630 for the 18 week program.  Half share is $20 per week or $360 for the 18 week program.  Half share peak of the season (middle 8 weeks are upgraded to full share) is $480.  Full share peak of the season (middle 8 weeks upgraded to $45) for $710.

The cost for 1 chicken share requires a $10.00 down payment and the balance due at pickup calculated at $4.00 per pound. The chickens will be between 3 & 8 pounds. One turkey share will get you one turkey that is between 15 & 30 pounds. The cost for a turkey share is $3.75 lb which requires a $40.00 down payment and the balance due at pickup.
