Cost: 18 weeks x $35/week = $630

This share gives you access to a good majority of the fruits and vegetables we have in the peak of the season. Since we grow such a variety of fruits and vegetables and we have the most variety in the summer we cannot offer the full variety of vegetables we grow for the same price as a full share. This super size share will have the same amount of fruits and vegetables as a full share in the first 5 weeks and the last 5 weeks with the middle 8 weeks taking advantage of the wide variety of produce we have available in the peak of the season. To see how a full share and the peak of the season share compares see the above example of a full share and compare it to the example below.

Example:

  • 1 Large Bunch of Beets
  • 1 Head of Broccoli
  • 1 Bunch of Carrots
  • Approximately 3 lbs of Tomatoes
  • Approximately 2 lbs of Cucumbers
  • Bunch of Kale

We will be offering “market-style” share pickup at the farm whereby members will be able to come to the farm and shop just like at a farmers market.  Our produce will be displayed market-style and members will be able to select items and spend their weekly share.

Pre-made boxes:  If you are unable to shop market style, we will be offering pre-made boxes on a separate day.

Cost:

10 weeks x $35 = $350

8 weeks x $45 = $360

Total Value = $710

A half share is typically enough fruits and vegetables for a couple that eats a moderate amount of vegetables.

Example:

  • 1 Head of Lettuce
  • Bunch of Asparagus
  • Bunch of Green Onions
  • Bunch of Rhubarb
  • Bag of Spinach
  • Quart of Peas
  • Bunch of Swiss Chard

The way we make up the boxes is by the approximate value of the produce we put into the boxes and what we have available. The value of a half share is around $18 worth of produce every week. Please keep in mind that this is about $20 worth of produce and you will likely need to supplement with some other produce as this is usually not enough for most families. The best way to think of this is by seeing what you spend on fruits and vegetables weekly at the grocery store.

Cost: 18 weeks x $20 = $360.00

Another option is the half share peak of the season which for the middle 8 weeks you share will be upgraded to a full share and provided with a wide variety of the produce we have in season. The first 5 and the last 5 weeks are valued at the half share and the middle 8 weeks are valued at the full share portion. This option allows our members to take advantage of the wide variety of produce we have in the “peak of the season” and more diversity in your boxes, the total breakdown is listed below.

Cost: 5 weeks (Beginning) x $20 = $100         8 weeks (Middle) x $35 = $280 5 weeks (End) x $20 = $100

Total value of HALF SHARE PEAK OF THE SEASON = $100 + $280.00 + $100 = $480.00
